Ever since I can remember, I was intrigued by the fashion industry. From an early age, I was taught to appreciate fashion and art through various mediums. Before turning 12, I had oil painted, cross stitched, needle pointed, latch
hooked, and learned how to hand sew through my mother’s guidance.
By the age of 14, I was mentored in machine sewing by my grandmother and through lessons at school. During my teenage years, one of my earliest experiences working in the fashion industry included sales at a fabric store. After saving up enough money, I bought my first antique Singer sewing machine which further inspired and developed my sewing skills and love for fashion.
Upon leaving the fabric store, I pursued retail and worked for many companies like Bentley/Unic, Old Navy, and Reitmans. While working at these stores, I excelled in overcoming my shyness to help customers find clothes that improved their
style and overall confidence. After years of working in Fort McMurray’s retail and customer service sector, I was able to better understand the shopping and clothing needs of those in our community. This insight and knowledge lead to the conception of MacStyle in 2013 and our official opening in 2015.
I believe in an idea and then it becomes something else. – Picasso
I have called Fort McMurray home on and off for the last 16 years. I have grown to love and appreciate the community and surrounding area of Wood Buffalo. I strive to provide a positive experience while delivering products and services to our community. My style is everything girly, glittery, and pink.
I have called Fort McMurray home for the majority of my life. Not only have I had the opportunity to see tremendous growth in our region, but also grow as an individual and develop long lasting relationships. I cherish my friends and family, including my Fiancé Chris, and my miniature pinscher, Jack. I absolutely love to learn to and listen. I find myself continuously and deeply interested in people, their life experiences, and how there uniqueness shapes them inside and out. My style could be best described as a classic and comfortable. I don’t think you have to sacrifice being comfortable to look and feel amazing. Warmth is definitely a huge part of my day-to-day wardrobe choice. Although my wardrobe is minimalistic, I’m always looking for new pieces to add to my collection! I look forward to meeting you and learning all about your unique style!
I moved to Fort McMurray in 2013 and felt at home almost immediately. To live and work in a vibrant, close-knit community surrounded by vast trails and a serene landscape, it’s hard to imagine ever leaving. When it comes to my photography, I love the outdoors. Even more so, I love outdoor portrait photography and capturing moments of love and excitement. Another passion of mine is style. Whether it’s for my 9-5 job, socializing, or dropping by my local yoga studio, I’m always looking for additions to my wardrobe. For me, style is a way for me to express my personality and make a statement without needing to say anything – which is a good thing when you’re an introvert.
I went to Photography school in September 2012 to June 2013, where I found my passion in conceptual photography -which is creating an idea and making a photo from it. I also love taking photos of people in any way or form. I’m always up for a challenge; I have done boudoir, concerts, family, engagement, sports, weddings and more. I’m always looking forward to meeting and shooting new faces.
